Privacy Policy
Citizenship Lab ("we", "our") provides educational services for citizenship and immigration exam preparation. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Anonymous usage analytics (via Google Analytics 4) on the website and in the apps — pages viewed, features used (such as finished mock exams) and approximate country. No personally identifiable information; Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland, analytics cookies are set only if you allow them in the prompt shown on your first visit. You can turn usage statistics on or off at any time in Settings.
- Local quiz progress stored in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage). Never sent to our servers.
- On the website only (not in the iOS and Android apps): Google AdSense shows ads and may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure them. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland, Google asks for your consent before ads use cookies or are personalized.
How we use it
- Improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns.
- We do NOT sell your data. Ads on the website are served by Google, as described under Third-party services.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics — usage statistics. Not used for advertising. https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdSense — ads on the website only, not in the apps. How Google uses data from sites that show its ads: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Your rights
- Access / Delete: Your local data lives in your browser. Clearing browser storage deletes it.
- GDPR (EU and UK): Right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
- CCPA (California, USA): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale (we do not sell).
- Do Not Track: We honor browser DNT signals where technically possible.
Children
This service is not directed to users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
