Before applying
Confirm 5 years' continuous address + F-5 status (2-3 if married)
Complete KIIP level 5 (Basic + Advanced) or prepare for the evaluation
Provide proof of livelihood (assets/income)
Prepare criminal record certificates (home + KR)
Application
Submit naturalization application to immigration office
Pay ₩300,000 application fee (revenue stamp)
Take the naturalization-track evaluation within 1 year, max 3 tries (KIIP completers exempt)
Attend naturalization interview (exempt if KIIP completed with 60+, etc.)
After approval
Receive naturalization approval
Attend oath and certificate ceremony
Renounce foreign nationality or pledge non-exercise within 1 year
Apply for resident ID and passport
